Class 10 Board Exam Preparation: A Month-by-Month Plan

Class 10 boards feel huge, but they are very manageable with a plan. Here is a simple month-by-month approach that works for CBSE, ICSE and UP Board students.
July – September: finish and understand
Complete the syllabus chapter by chapter. After each chapter, solve all textbook questions and at least one set of extra questions. Mark the topics that feel weak.
October – November: first revision + weak topics
Go back to the weak list. This is where a home tutor helps most — one-to-one time on exactly the topics your child finds hard.
December: sample papers begin
Start one full sample paper a week under exam conditions. Check it strictly against the marking scheme and note where marks were lost.
January: pre-boards and presentation
Treat pre-boards as the real thing. Work on neat presentation: headings, underlining key points, labelled diagrams and step-wise maths.
February: light, focused revision
No new topics. Revise formula sheets, short notes and previous-year questions. Sleep well — tired students make silly mistakes.
